Masters Degree in any of the discipline of Mass Communication subject area with 55% of marks (Relaxation as per government rules shall be applicable) on merit basis of University Entrance Test.

About the programme

This one year course of M. Phil. (Media Studies) is designed to enhance the understanding of the students in various communication/mass communication theories and their application in journalism, media and communication studies. Knowledge regarding Research Methodology and processes in the field of Communication and media is the prime focus of the course. Research orientation in the area of Communication and Media is imparted extensively for shaping future as researcher as-well-as academician.

 Course Objectives

  • To enhance the understanding of students in various Communication/Mass Communication Theories and their application in Journalism, Media and Communication Studies.
  • To develop Research Orientation in the area of Communication and Media.
  • To create awareness regarding Research Methodology and processes in the field of Communication and Media.
