Journalism University will extend cooperation for development of communication medium in tribal areas: Prof KG Suresh

Gondwana University delegation visits Makhanlal Chaturvedi University, Agreement on academic exchange, curriculum

Bhopal, 23 October, 2020: A delegation of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli (Maharashtra) today met Vice Chancellor Prof KG Suresh during its two-day visit to Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication and had discussion on academic cooperation. Both the Universities agreed on academic and student exchange programmes and cooperation on curriculum development. They will soon sign an MoU.

MCU, Bhopal is the first university which delegation of Gondwana University, a tribal focused University, visited for institutional development programme and academic cooperation.  Gondwana University is located in dense forest and tribal dominated areas, and has focus on tribal education and research.

Vice Chancellor Prof Suresh said, ‘MCU will extend all round help in development of curriculum related with media and communication and medium. Gondwana University director Dr Manish D Uttarwar said their academic visit to the university has been successful. Both the institutions have agreed on curriculum development, training of teachers, students exchange, outreach programme and infrastructure development. Faculty of Inter-Disciplinary Studies, Mangesh Indapwar was part of the delegation. It had discussion with academic and administrative heads and visited new campus of the MCU at Bishankheri. Registrar Prof Avinash Bajpayee was also present there.
