International Web Conference on ‘Innovative Business Practices in Digital Era’ in MCU from Dec 28

Eminent personalities, academicians from USA, Dubai, Nepal and Sri Lanka to participate, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to inaugurate web conference

Bhopal, 26^th December, 2020: A three-day international web conference on ‘Innovative Business Practices in Digital Era’ will be organised by Department of Media Management of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal between December 28 and 30. Many eminent speakers, experts and academicians from the USA, Nepal, Dubai, Sri Lanka etc. will join the online conference. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate it at 11 am. University Vice Chancellor Prof KG Suresh will chair the inaugural session.

Dr Mihalis Halkides, CEO, MCM Prime (USA) will be the keynote speaker of the opening session. G Sumanasekara, President of Colombo Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka, Dr Michael Plaisent Professor of Department of Management, University of Quebec, Canada and Dr Prosper Bernard, Professor, Department of Management, University of Quebec, Canada will be keynote speakers in the valedictory session, said Registrar and HoD of Media Management, Dr Avinash Bajpai.

In seven technical sessions, Dr Nirmala M Adhikary, Nepal, Dr Afteb Ahmed, Dubai, Shri Vivek Rao, Canada, Dr SR Das, IIM Indore, Dr U Holani, Gwalior, Shri Laxman D Pant, Nepal, Dr Timira Shukla, Delhi will be among the chief guests and keynote speakers.

During the 3-day, the technical sessions will be held on role of media during pandemic, business coping up in Covid-19 period, significance of virtual conference during post pandemic scenario, effective communication in digital era, academic research as passion and profession, impact of digitalisation on jobs and entrepreneurships and consumer buying behaviour during post pandemic. More than 42 research scholars and academicians will present research papers in the sessions. Prof Kanchan Bhatia is chairperson of the Conference. Dr Kapil R Chandoriya, is convener, and Ms. Manisha Verma is co-convener of the conference.

इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल, आई एस बी द्वारा माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी राष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के लिए संकाय विकास कार्यक्रम आयोजित

भोपाल, 19 दिसंबर, 2020: इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल (IDP), जिसे भारती इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ पब्लिक पालिसी (बीआईपीपी), इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ बिजनेस (आई एस बी), के तत्वावधान में विकसित किया गया, ने आज माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी राष्ट्रीय पत्रकारिता और संचार विश्वविद्यालय (MCU) की  संकाय के लिए एक कार्यशाला आयोजित की।

कार्यशाला का उद्घाटन माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी राष्ट्रीय पत्रकारिता एवं संचार विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर के जी सुरेश ने किया। अपने उद्घाटन संबोधन में उन्होंने कहा: “विश्वविद्यालय हमेशा साझेदारी और सहयोग बनाने के रास्ते देख रहा है और इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ बिजनेस से इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल सहयोग करने के लिए एक अभिनव मंच है।” उन्होंने कहा कि, “आज की कार्यशाला दोनों संस्थानों के बीच के गठबंधन और नए अवसरों की शुरुआत है।”

इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल की भविष्य की योजनाओं के बारे में बात करते हुए, भारती इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ पब्लिक पॉलिसी की एसोसिएट डायरेक्टर डॉ. आरुषि जैन ने कहा: “हम आगे बढ़ने के लिए आईडीपी पर उन्नत सुविधाओं और विभिन्न डेटासेट को पेश करने की योजना बना रहे हैं। देश भर के पत्रकारों तक पहुंचने के हमारे प्रयास में, हम नए साल में IDP फैलोशिप और सर्वश्रेष्ठ लेख और विज़ुअलाइज़ेशन प्रतियोगिता शुरू करेंगे। ”

डॉ. पी. शशिकला, न्यू मीडिया टेक्नोलॉजी की प्रोफेसर और हेड विभाग ने पहल के लिए इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल टीम को धन्यवाद देते हुए कहा: “इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल सूचनात्मक और व्यावहारिक डेटा प्रदान करता है जिसे सरल और उपयोगी तरीके से आकर्षक दृश्यों में परिवर्तित किया जा सकता है।”

“इंडिया डेटा पोर्टल (IDP)” पत्रकारों के लिए कृषि, और वित्तीय समावेशन से संबंधित सूचना, डेटा और ज्ञान को एक्सेस करने, उनके साथ बातचीत करने और उनके बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए एक-स्टॉप ओपन-एक्सेस पोर्टल है, जबकि अन्य लाभार्थियों – शोधकर्ताओं, छात्रों, नीति का भी समर्थन करता है। निर्माता, प्रशासक, गैर सरकारी संगठन और उद्यमी। यह पोर्टल दो प्रकार के डेटासेट उपलब्ध कराता है – कृषि, ग्रामीण विकास और वित्तीय समावेशन को कवर करने वाला आईडीपी डेटासेट, साथ ही जम्पस्टार्टइंडिया @ आईएसबी पहल के तहत उच्च-आवृत्ति उच्च-रिज़ॉल्यूशन संकेतक (एचएफआई – एचआरआई)। डेटासेट के भंडार में ओवरलैपिंग के साथ-साथ स्वतंत्र रूप से अच्छी तरह से स्थापित, रिमोट-सेंसिंग और उपग्रह उत्पादों के साथ सार्वजनिक रूप से उपलब्ध डेटा का एक विस्तृत संग्रह शामिल है। ये देश में फैले विभिन्न ग्रैन्युलर स्तरों पर उपलब्ध हैं।

India Data Portal, ISB conducts Faculty Development Programme for Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University

Bhopal, 19th December 2020: India Data Portal (IDP), developed under aegis of the Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP), at the Indian School of Business (ISB) today conducted a workshop for the faculty of the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication (MCU) as part of their faculty development programme.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof K G Suresh, Vice Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication. In his inaugural address he said: “The University is always looking at avenues to strengthen partnerships and collaborations and India Data Portal from the Indian School of Business is an innovative platform to collaborate.” “Today’s workshop is just the beginning of many more opportunities to explore between the two institutions,” he added.

Speaking about the future plans of the India Data Portal, Dr Aarushi Jain, Associate Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy said: “We plan to introduce advanced features and varied datasets on IDP as we move ahead. In our endeavour to reach to the journalists across the country, we will be launching IDP Fellowship and Best Visualization competition using IDP in the New Year.”

Thanking the India Data Portal team for the initiative, DrPSasikala, Professor and Head Department of New Media Technology said: “India Data Portal offers informative and insightful data which can be converted into attractive visualizations in a simple and useful way.”

“India Data Portal (IDP)” is a one-stop open-access portal for journalists to access, interact with, and visualize information, data and knowledge related to agriculture and financial inclusion, while also aiding other beneficiaries – researchers, students, policy makers, administrators, NGOs, and entrepreneurs. The portal makes available two kinds of datasets – the IDP datasets covering agriculture, rural development and financial inclusion, as well as high-frequency high-resolution indicators (HFIs – HRIs) under the JumpStartIndia@ISB initiative. The repository of datasets includes an exhaustive collection of publicly available data with overlapping as well as independent well-established, remote-sensing and satellite products. These are available at different granular levels spanning the country.
