Prof Asif said, NEP is the only policy ever, which has the fragrance of Indianness. Vice Chancellor Prof KG Suresh, on the occasion, called upon teachers to become trend-setters.

The University has organised a two-day seminar on ‘National Education Policy and its Implementation’ in collaboration with NITI Aayog and Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal.

In an interactive session, Prof Asif pointed out the areas for implementation as part of short-term and long term plans. ‘Teachers who are the focal point in the policy, can implement its 60 percent part and their role in implementation is more than any government,’ he said.

Vice Chancellor Prof KG Suresh said the university will make efforts for academic excellence. He called upon teachers to prepare a roadmap in advance for NEP implementation. Time-bound plan should be rolled out in this regard. We are moving towards a new phase after Covic-19 and shifting to a new campus. MCU should be ahead in the implementation of NEP in MP, he said.
