Last date to  apply for admission in Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication is 17th June

More than one lakh students took admission last year. Entrance exam will be conducted on 26th June in 16 cities

Bhopal, 14 June, 2022: Asia’s first and biggest Journalism University, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, opens admission for students who wish to make a career in the field of journalism, mass communication and computer science.  Vice Chancellor Prof. KG Suresh shared  that more than one lakh students took admission in the university last year and created history. He also informed that the new session will begin in the new  campus spread across 50 acres. The  state-of –the- art  campus is equipped with all the amenities, including a hostel  to  ensure a dynamic learning environment for  the students.

 Sharing details of the admission process, Director Admissions, Dr. Ashish Joshi informed that for the year 2022-23, online applications have been invited for Bhopal along with Khandwa, Rewa, and Datia campuses of the university and the last date to apply is  17th June till 12 midnight. Students  can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in 17 subjects including journalism, mass communication, media management, computer science in the Bhopal campus.  He also informed that 8 courses have  been introduced by the university under the National Education Policy. Students can also apply online for  journalism ,mass communication courses  along with four computer courses in Khandwa, for three courses of mass communication and computer science  in Datia and for nine courses of journalism, mass communication and computer in Rewa campus. Sharing information regarding the important dates of the admission  Dr. Joshi said that the entrance examination will be conducted on June 26 in all the examination centers, for which the admit cards can be downloaded from June 22 to 26. The application fee for general and other backward class candidates is Rs 500, while for the additional courses the application fee is Rs 300. The candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes do not have to pay any fee for admission and  will have to pay only the portal fee of Rs 50. The Registrar of the University, Dr. Avinash VajpaI informed that the entrance examination to be held on June 26 will be conducted in 16 cities of different states of India including Bhopal, Khandwa, Rewa, Datia, Indore, New Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Jabalpur, Ranchi, Jaipur, Raipur, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Nagpur.
