CM to open MCU New Campus in Rewa on Sep 20

Rewa/Bhopal, 17th September, 2023: Five days after the Vice President inaugurated the new premises of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication in Bhopal,

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will formally launch the university’s new campus in Rewa on September 20.

The Chief Minister, who is also the Chairman of the university’s General Council will dedicate the campus to the nation in  virtual mode, Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) K G Suresh announced on Sunday.

Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla & Member of Parliament Sh Janardan Mishra will be the special guests while Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) K G Suresh will chair the session.

The Rewa campus has been functional since 2016 running several Diploma, UG & PG programmes. Alumni of the campus are today placed in leading media houses all over the country. The well equipped campus spread over five acres has its own auditorium, conference halls, computer labs, guest house, library, TV & Radio studios.

Terming the launch of the new campus as another milestone in the university’s journey, Prof Suresh expressed hope that the campus would establish itself as a centre of excellence not only in the Vindhyachal region but also across the state & the country.

Vice President of India Sh Jagdeep Dhankar had on friday inaugurated the new campus of Asia’s first & largest media university and addressed the fourth convocation ceremony.
