Online applications invited for admissions in Journalism Department
Bhopal, 01st July, 2020: Journalism Department of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication is the first choice for aspirants seeking career in journalism and content writing. For them, the department is offering three courses – MA (Journalism), MA (Digital Journalism) and BA (Journalism and Creative Writing). Online applications have been invited for admissions in these courses in 2020-21 batch.
Dr. Rakhi Tiwari, Head of the Department of Journalism, said, ‘the Department of Journalism is fully committed to provide good education, training and research. The courses have been upgraded, considering twin objectives of increasing needs of media sector and preparing media professionals having technical skills.
Teaching and training on writing, reporting, editing in print media layout design is imparted in MA (Journalism) course. Students are taught and trained in all aspects of online media in MA (Digital Journalism) course. These include multimedia, audio, video, photo, podcast, social media, info-graphics, virtual reality, animation and content packages and audience understanding. BA (Journalism and Creative Writing) course is fully dedicated to making students proficient in journalism and creative writing. The effort has been made to train students with various aspects of journalism and traditional and modern literature. Subject experts and renowned writers are invited to train students about creative writing in practice sessions, seminars, symposium and workshops.
Students are given practical assignments. This year, no entrance examination will be held and students will be admitted on the basis of qualifying examinations.
