MCU to host grand International Yoga Day Celebrations
Under the joint aegis of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Art of Living
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh and ADG of CBC Prashant Pathrabe will inaugurate the exhibition
Bhopal, 17th June, 2024: A two-day programme will be organized at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Makhanpuram at Bishankhedi to mark the 10th International Yoga Day. This program is being organized in the university campus under the joint aegis of Press Information Office, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Art of Living Foundation of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar.
On the first day, 20th June, an exhibition will be inaugurated under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh with Additional Director General of Central Bureau of Communication, Sh Prashant Pathrabe. On the second day, 21st June, the teachers, students, officers and employees of the university will practice Yoga at 8.30 am. Cultural programmes would be organised by Song and Drama division of the university on both days.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh said that this year’s theme of the event is “Yoga for self and society”. Prof. Suresh said that everyone wants to have good health & regular practice of Yoga will ensure He said that not only good health but also fitness. Prof. Suresh said that the program is being organized with the aim of creating awareness about yoga among the teachers, students, officers and employees of the university.
