MCU Organizes Special Lecture and Health Camp on Women’s Health
Bhopal 12 March 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women Development Cell (WDC) and the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) organized a special lecture and health camp for women staff members and women residents of the university campus at Nalanda Library on Thursday.
The lecture on the topic “Women’s Health Between 30 and 55: Balance, Prevention & Power” was delivered by renowned Bhopal-based gynecologist Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar. She shared important insights on maintaining women’s health through balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and stress management. She also advised women to undergo regular medical tests under a doctor’s guidance for early detection of diseases.
Dr. Chittawar emphasized that women should prioritize their own health and not ignore early symptoms of health issues.
Vice Chancellor of the university, Shri Vijay Manohar Tiwari, welcomed the guest and appreciated the initiative aimed at promoting awareness about women’s health. Mrs. Tripti Tiwari, Registrar Prof. P. Sasikala, Head of ICC Dr. Arti Sarang, and Coordinator of WDC Dr. Garima Patel were also present on the occasion.
Following the lecture, a health camp was organized where participants received health consultations along with hemoglobin and blood sugar tests.
The program witnessed active participation from Heads of Departments, senior faculty members, staff members, and women residents of the campus, who appreciated the initiative aimed at promoting awareness about women’s health.
